Wife Carrying World Championships

Loving husbands with their wives came to take part in the annual Wife Carrying World Championships, an annual event held in Sonkajaervi, Finland. Participants came in different costumes and an estimated 8,000 spectators attended to see the participating couples navigating through different obstacles to win the title.

This amazing championship was first held in 1992 and became official world championships three years later.
