New Record Set at Mobile Throwing Championship

Finnish teenager Ere Karjalainen has set a new world record at the Mobile Phone Throwing World Championship at Savonlinna, Finland. This amazing competition takes place every year at the Finnish small town and participants from all over the world take part in it. The competition started in 2000 by a company called Fennolingua in an attempt to stop throwing faulty mobiles in lakes causing a big threat to the environment. The company encouraged people to show their hurling skills instead of throwing their faulty devices in the water. Soon the event became popular across the globe. The phones used in the competition are gathered and sent to recycling plants.
