Royalty for Making Ecce Homo Famous

After funny restoration of Ecce Homo (Behold the man) by pensioner Cecilia Gimenez, the century old Jesus Christ fresco painting has become a hit worldwide. Thousands of tourists are coming to Sanctury of Mercy Church to see the fresco, which has resulted in an increase in church's revenue. Church officials are now charging admission fee from the visitors.

Now Cecilia has appointed a lawyer to demand royalty from the admission fee. Her botched restoration has given a worldwide fame and she is even planning to copyright the deteriorated version of Ecce Homo, now known as 'Behold the monkey'.

The church officials have also appointed lawyers to fight the case. (via)
