Garbage Cafe Gives Food For Every Kilo Of Plastic Waste

A restaurant, named Garbage Cafe, in India is offering meals in exchange for waste as payment for food.

The Garbage Cafe is a part of an initiative by the Municipal Corporation of Ambikapur to provide tasty meals to the homeless and poor to incentivize garbage collection and to keep the city clean.

All the plastic waste collected are recycled to construct roads that are flood and water-resistant.
The Municipality Corporation has already built a road in the city out of eight hundred thousands of plastic waste and asphalt. The organization also hopes to expand the incentivize scheme soon to provide shelter to the homeless in exchange for garbage collected.
