Concert Only For Plants
Barcelona's El Liceu Opera house reopens only for plants.
The ongoing pandemic has taught mankind the value of maintaining and interacting with nature. El Liceu opera theatre has done something unusual to foster a deeper appreciation for nature.
The Concert for the Biocene is a joint project between El Liceu, Max Estrella Gallery, and curator Blanca de la Torre.
The concert was inspired by Spanish conceptual artist Eugenio Ampudia and his time in quarantine, during which he discovered the importance of being in close contact with nature.
The event was held in front of 2,292 potted plants and featured Puccini's 'Cristanemi,' which was regarded as visual poetry.
Later the plants were delivered to health professionals accompanied by a certificate from the artist. (via)
